Topshop is geweldig. Ze hebben vrij betaalbare kleding, die er ook nog eens fantastisch uitziet. Daarom heb ik besloten de post van vandaag aan Topshop te wijden.

Een stad vol fashionista's. Dat is iets wat me opviel toen ik in Bangkok was. Natuurlijk was (lang) niet iedereen bijzonder leuk gekleed, maar de meisjes die er duidelijk over na hadden gedacht wel.

Emma Watson vind ik altijd overkomen als een heel leuk meisje. Het is natuurlijk niet echt goed in te schatten als je iemand enkel van filmpjes kent, maar ze komt vrij 'normaal' over, niet arrogant of nep. Daarnaast speelt ze natuurlijk in mijn favoriete film-/boekenreeks Harry Potter en heeft ze een geweldig gevoel voor mode. Daarom leek het me leuk om haar stijl wat nader te bekijken.

Yesterday I discovered a site I didn't know but absolutely love! It's called Polyvore. On this site  you can compose sets of clothes, post them and look at the sets of others. But that's not all, there are 'get-the-look-of-celebrities'-posts, styling tips, what to wears and much more. 

I thought I would show you the first set I made and I hope you like it. It's an example of what I can do with the basics mentioned here. I think I will post sets like this one more often. To see from which brands the items used are and where you can purchase them, you can click on the picture.

Today the sixth and final style! The first five (Girly, Edgy, Boho, Classic and Glam) can be found below. Today's post will be about an Indie style.

Having an indie style means liking to dress a little unexpectedly and put things together in a surprising way. This can be achieved by playing around with proportions, use finds from a local store differently, and some DIY-ing. Some examples of indie clothes are:

Glam

Today the fifth style of the six I would describe. The first four (Girly, Edgy, Boho and Classic) can be found below. Today's post will be about a Glam style.

Glam girls like to stand out, so they dress for the spotlight, even when it's just a normal day. They make their look look like something dramatic with details like sparkly sequins, luxe-looking animal prints and sky-high heels. Some examples of glam clothes are:

Classic

Today the fourth style of the six I would describe. The first three (Girly, Edgy and Boho) can be found below. Today's post will be about a Classic style.

Crisp, clean and never out of style. That is a classic style in a nutshell. This can be achieved by wearing clothes with understated lines and simple silhouettes like a sharp blazer, and then by making it interesting by wearing clothes with preppy patterns and playful elements like a cool stripe. Some examples of classic clothes are:

Boho

Today the third style of the six I would describe. The first two (Girly and Edgy) can be found below. Today's post will be about a Boho style.

Boho gives off a very free-spirity feel. It comes across as a carefree style and it is about layering patterns and fun details (florals, some suede, something fringed, soft knits and beads) to achieve an earthy feel. Some examples of boho clothes are:

Edgy

Today the second style of the six I would describe. The first one (Girly) can be found below. Today's post will be about an Edgy style.

An edgy look is characterized by roughed up clothes, for example by ripped up jeans or added studs and chains. But, and this is really important, soften the effect by adding feminine touches like a peek of lace. Some examples of edgy clothes are:

Girly

Clothes can be a great way to express yourself and show how you feel. This can be done by having a certain personal style. There are six main styles, which are Girly, Edgy, Boho, Classic, Glam and Indie. These are described in the book 'Seventeen Ultimate Guide to Style: How to find your perfect look'. It seemed like a nice idea to teach you guys some more about these styles and let you decide which one is the best for you. The first style I'll zoom in on is Girly.

For people with a girly style it's very important to strike the right balance between sweet and sophisticated. You don't want to look too perfect. This style uses a great deal of fresh florals, swingy silhouettes and cute little details like ruffles and lace. Some examples of girly clothes are:

There is a number of models that I really like, most of which are Victoria's Secret Models. I would like to show you some pictures of what their personal style is like, starting today with my favorite model, Miranda Kerr.

Because I said in my last post that I really like colorful clothing, I think it's a nice idea to tell you guys more about how colors can really do something for your over-all look (whether this is in a positive way or not). We'll, of course, be focusing on how it can help to improve the way you look, so that, even when you're not feeling to well, you'll get compliments on your look.
